Where you can board today
Brightline is an intercity passenger train between Orlando International Airport and downtown Miami. On November 1, 2026, Brightline's website listed six Florida stations, each with hours, and was selling tickets. Those pages did not show a service stoppage.
Brightline's Orlando station page says the ride between Orlando and West Palm Beach is about two hours, and about three hours and thirty minutes between Orlando and Miami. It says the schedule then had 16 daily round trips, with hourly departures each way, and that the schedule can change.

Not open
Not open Cocoa. A rider cannot board there. Brightline has no Cocoa station page. On October 6, 2026, the Florida Department of Transportation said $57 million in federal funding was for the City of Cocoa to build a new Brightline in-line station, a multi-use access road, and a new segment of double track. That announcement does not give a street address, a construction start, or an opening year.
Not open Stuart. A rider cannot board there. Martin County says it has an agreement with Brightline for a station, and that funding and planning steps must happen before any lease or construction.
Not open Tampa. A rider cannot board there. There is no Brightline train from Tampa or from Tampa International Airport. Hillsborough County's transportation planning organization says the location of a possible station has not been determined.
Buy a ticket
This Is Florida does not sell Brightline tickets and does not take the payment. The button opens Brightline's own website in a new window. On November 1, 2026, that site's booking form listed Orlando, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, and Miami. Cocoa, Stuart, and Tampa were not on it.
Buy tickets on Brightline's site
Brightline's terms, updated October 2, 2026, also allow a ticket from the Brightline app or a station kiosk. The buyer must be at least 13. A ticket from an unauthorized reseller is void. Brightline says that rider is not allowed on the train and does not get a refund.
Rules before you ride
These are Brightline's own rules, paraphrased from the Terms of Service updated October 2, 2026. Brightline can change them. If this summary and that page ever differ, the terms page controls.
Tickets
- You need a reservation. The ticket names one guest, one train, and one seat.
- It works only for that date and time, that departure station before the train leaves, that train number and seat, and the arrival station right after that train arrives.
- Boarding starts about 10 minutes before departure. The turnstiles close 5 minutes before departure. Those times can change. Listen for the station announcement.
- Miss the train and the reservation is forfeited. A missed-train ticket is non-refundable.
- You cannot resell or give the ticket to someone else. Brightline says that voids it.
- If you already have a reservation, another same-day reservation from the same city is limited to every 2 hours.
- A ticket that departs Orlando includes a departure fee. Every booking also has a booking fee per seat. Brightline shows both at checkout and can change the booking fee. This page does not list those dollar amounts.
Fares, without the prices
- Brightline sells SMART and PREMIUM. The dollar fare is on Brightline's site and changes with the train. This page does not list it.
- Trips that stay among Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach are short haul. Trips between South Florida and Orlando are long haul.
- SMART Saver is long haul only. It is non-refundable and cannot be changed. It includes one carry-on and one personal item, and it does not include choosing your seat.
- SMART Select and PREMIUM Select work on short haul and long haul. A qualifying cancellation becomes a travel credit of 75 percent of the booking value. Each includes two carry-ons and one personal item. Premium Select also includes one standard bag. On long haul, Select fares include choosing your seat.
- SMART Flex and PREMIUM Flex are long haul only. You can cancel up to 5 minutes before departure for a full refund to the original payment. Each includes choosing your seat, two carry-ons, one personal item, and one tagged large bag. Premium Flex also includes one standard tagged bag. Where Brightline runs an airport shuttle, Flex includes that shuttle.
- You can upgrade SMART to PREMIUM up to 5 minutes before departure, on the same train, if a seat is open. You pay the fare difference and any modification fee for that fare. Saver cannot be changed.
- The PREMIUM lounge is only for a PREMIUM ticket, only within 2 hours before departure, and not after you arrive. You cannot bring an extra guest or scan someone else in. Alcohol there is 21 and older.
Children
- A child under 13 must travel with a passenger who is at least 18.
- A rider 13 or older may travel alone. Brightline suggests they carry identification with their name, address, and phone, plus the name and phone of the person meeting them. Brightline says it does not make sure an unaccompanied minor gets on or gets off.
- Only a child 12 or under is eligible for a children's fare. The price is on Brightline's checkout.
On the platform and in the station
- Stand at least 2 feet from the platform edge. Do not sit on the platform. Do not walk or jump onto the tracks. Do not force a train door. Let people get off before you board.
- No smoking or vaping anywhere on Brightline property, including outside the station and in a garage.
- Do not drink alcohol that Brightline did not sell. Alcohol is 21 and older.
- Bathing suits are not allowed. A guest who is shirtless, bottomless, or barefoot is not allowed in.
- No soliciting. Report an unattended package to Brightline staff. Do not film in a secured area or at a security checkpoint when staff say it creates a problem.
- Brightline may inspect you and your bags. Refusing that inspection is a reason they can refuse to carry you.
Weapons and other banned items
- Weapons are not allowed in a station, on a train, or in a carry-on or checked bag. Brightline's list includes firearms, BB guns, fireworks, flares, knives, scissors, ice picks, axes, swords, bows, pepper spray, mace, and stun guns or Tasers.
- The terms allow a firearm only for a sworn, active law-enforcement officer who has prior approval and a department ID. A retired officer does not get that exception. The destination station is told which train and seat.
- Medical oxygen is allowed. Ask safety staff. A battery that can leak is not allowed, except a battery that powers a mobility aid.
Bags
- A complimentary carry-on on Select or Flex may be up to 50 pounds and 24 by 16 by 10 inches, or 50 linear inches. It has to fit overhead or under the seat. Saver allows one carry-on.
- A small personal item, such as a purse, does not count as that carry-on. The terms describe an umbrella of 10 to 15 inches as that kind of item.
- Checked bags are only for trips among MiamiCentral, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. If the ticket includes Aventura or Boca Raton, checked bags are not available.
- Check a bag at Guest Services no later than 30 minutes before departure, and no earlier than 4 hours before. A checked item may not exceed 70 pounds or 33 by 22 by 15 inches.
- Extra tagged bags have a fee, and the total of tagged bags is 3, counting any bag the fare already includes. This page does not list the bag fees.
- A wheelchair can stay with the rider. One wheelchair per ticket can also be checked at Guest Services at no charge. Add it when you book.
Pets and service animals
- Only dogs and cats may ride, one per passenger who is 13 or older.
- Past security, in a lounge, and on the train, the pet stays in a closed leak-proof carrier. An under-seat or lap carrier may be up to 17 by 10 by 10 inches.
- Add the pet to the reservation at least 10 minutes before departure. If you do not, Brightline may refuse the pet. A fee may apply. Brightline's checkout shows it.
- The carrier plus one personal item means you do not also get a carry-on bag. Pets are not checked as baggage. They ride with the guest.
- The pet must be at least eight weeks old. Brightline can refuse a disruptive or aggressive pet.
- A service animal is not a pet. Brightline accepts one with a person with a disability at no charge. Add it to the reservation. It sits under the seat, at the rider's feet, or on the lap, not in the aisle or an empty seat.
- In the lobby and outside, dogs and cats must be leashed. The terms list a pet relief area outside the West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale stations, and do not list one at the other stations.
Bikes, boards, and golf
- A fully assembled bicycle or e-bike is not allowed, including as a checked bag.
- A folding bike or folding scooter, once folded, may be no more than 48 inches long and 30 inches high, and it counts as a carry-on. A scooter that does not fold is not allowed. A motorcycle or gas-powered scooter is not accepted.
- A folding bike may also be checked if it is in a bicycle container and stays within 70 linear inches.
- Surfboards, skis, and water skis are not allowed, carried on or checked.
- Golf clubs can ride. A bag without a full-length case is a paid carry-on. A full-length case is a large bag. Brightline lists a fee for each. This page does not print those fees.
Getting the last mile
Brightline's terms say a PREMIUM guest can get a complimentary UberX within 5 miles of the station when that ride is booked through Brightline. Outside 5 miles, the guest pays Uber's rate. Brightline says the driver is an independent contractor, not Brightline. The Fort Lauderdale and Miami airport shuttles are a separate service, described below. Flex fares include that shuttle where Brightline offers it. Other fares pay for it.
Brightline says the train is not peanut-free. A guest with an allergy carries their own epinephrine and knows how to use it.
Airports
Orlando International Airport. The Orlando station is inside the airport, across a pedestrian bridge from Terminal C. Brightline says riders flying from Terminals A or B should take the airport Terminal Link. The airport says that link runs 24 hours between Terminal B and the train station. Airport train page.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Brightline runs a paid airport shuttle from its Fort Lauderdale station, daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. It lists pickup at Ground Transportation Zone B for Terminals 1 and 4, and Zone F for Terminals 2 and 3. The airport's own site was not available for this check, so those zones are Brightline's list.
Miami International Airport. Brightline runs a paid airport shuttle from MiamiCentral, daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. It leaves 10 minutes after southbound trains arrive. Brightline says airport construction moved pickup to Level 2 Departures: Concourse D Door 6, Concourse E Door 11, and Concourse H Door 22. Miami International's train page also says Brightline offers shuttles to the airport. That airport page uses the name Miami Central Station for the Miami Intermodal Center next to the airport. That is a different place from Brightline MiamiCentral downtown.
Palm Beach and Tampa. No official Brightline link to either airport was found, so none is listed. Palm Beach's airport site uses the name President Donald J. Trump International Airport. This page does not treat that airport as a Brightline stop.
Brightline's terms, updated October 2, 2026, say SMART Flex and PREMIUM Flex include the airport shuttle where Brightline offers one. The Fort Lauderdale and Miami shuttles above are paid on the other fares. This page does not list the shuttle price.
