- Break the rules and you will not be invited back.
Two Meet posts a month
A Meet is a plan at a real public place in Florida, with your name on it. Friends come first. A coffee shop, a golf course, a surf break, a pool, and a beach entrance all use this same post.
Your $8 a month includes 2 Meet posts. Two weeks in the month are free. One post a week is the most any member can place.
One a week
- A week runs Monday through Sunday, Eastern Time.
- One account gets one Meet post in a week. That post is either personal or for the business. It is never both in the same week.
- The two free posts can be both personal, both business, or one of each. They have to fall in two different weeks.
- A skipped week does not stack. Two free posts cannot land in the same week.
$8 buys another week
- After the two free posts are used, one more Meet post can be bought for a later week.
- That extra post is $8, and it is still one post for that week.
- A month with five weeks is still two free posts. Each extra week is $8, and still one post that week.
| Week | What you can post | Price |
|---|---|---|
| First free week | One personal Meet or one business Meet | Included |
| Second free week | One personal Meet or one business Meet | Included |
| Any later week | One more Meet, personal or business | $8 |
What a Meet can say
- Singles stays off until you opt in. A Meet can say you want singles company there. Members who have opted in can say they are going.
- A golf partner, someone to surf with, and a coffee shop offering BOGO coffee are the same kind of Meet.
- The business keeps the price of the coffee, the green fee, or anything else it sells. This Is Florida does not take a cut.
- The Meet is at a public Florida place. Your name is on the Meet because you posted the invite.
What members can add
A member can submit a real Florida thing: a race, a law, a hotel they stayed at, a beach entrance, a pool, or the next useful thing. It goes on the public list after This Is Florida approves it.
- Your name stays off a listing that is not yours. A race you do not organize, a law you found, a hotel you stayed at, a beach entrance you used, and a pool you swam in go on the list with no profile credit.
- Mark “this is mine” only when you own it or you run it. The claim is checked. Your profile gets the credit after the claim is accepted.
- A beach entrance is added to that beach. A pool is its own place, or it is attached to the hotel, park, or gym you named.
- A review is yes or no, plus a short explanation. Three hundred words is the limit. The page shows how many said yes and how many said no. Another member can mark a review useful or not useful. There is no heart button and no 1-to-5 score.
- You can put a Meet on a place you added. That Meet uses one of your Meet posts.
Florida Market
One item at a time. You have two ways to list it.
Change it every day
- You may put up one new item a day.
- The item from the day before comes down when the new one goes up.
- Editing that same listing on the same day does not count as a new listing.
Leave it up for 30 days
- You may post one item and leave it listed for 30 days.
- If it did not sell, a renewal has to be a better offer or a lower price.
- The same price and the same offer cannot be renewed.
When the item is gone, take the listing down. The next item can go up the next day.
Every listing
- Florida only. The item must be in Florida.
