Florida Information
What Florida Information is
Florida Information is This Is Florida's library of fact pages. Each page covers one Florida topic: a law, a license, a season, a place, or a practical question such as where to land and what to do in your first two days.
It is written for everyone: lifelong residents, new arrivals and people visiting for a week. It is not a news feed and not an opinion column. Pages stick to what official sources say, link to those sources and show the date they were last checked.
The library is nonpartisan. Law pages explain what a statute says and who it applies to. They do not argue for or against it.
Florida Information is general information. It is not legal, tax, insurance or medical advice. Rules change, so confirm with the official source linked on each page before you act.
How to use this library
- Find your topic below. Pages are grouped by subject. A page marked Live is open now. A page marked Coming soon is still being researched and checked, and will be linked here when it is published.
- Check the date. Every page shows when it was last checked against official sources. Seasons, fees and storm guidance change.
- Go to the source. Licenses, permits, voter registration and storm orders always come from the agency, never from us. Each page links straight to the official place to do it.
- Tell us what's missing. If you spot an outdated fact or want a topic covered, use the contact page.

The information above is free. This part is for Florida businesses and members.
This Is Florida also runs a statewide directory of Florida businesses. One $8 passport works both ways: a business can list itself as a vendor, and the same passport lets you use the directory as a member.
Businesses earn $2 a month for every $8 member they refer. Businesses keep their own prices, with no forced discounts or coupon deals. Page advertising may come later.
