One mile west of the Destin Bridge in Okaloosa Island is where you can find the beautiful Eglin Beach Park. During the summer months, Eglin Beach Park is open to all DoD personnel with the proper identification-which includes all military ranks, ranks, family members, civilian personnel (this includes all federal employees no matter the station of duty), federal contractors and their guests.
This beach has a central deck area, 4 large pavilions, restrooms, showers and direct access to the Gulf.
