Alafia River State Park

Alafia River State Park in Lithia occupies a former phosphate-mining landscape whose altered terrain now supports outdoor recreation. Mining left steep grades and small lakes, helping distinguish its mountain-biking terrain from the flatter landscapes found in much of Florida. The park's official visitor information lists trails, campsites, parking and picnic pavilions. Use the park's current trail information to choose a route rather than assuming that every riding area is available or suitable for the same experience level. An official alert effective August 5, 2026, identifies the Gravitron bike trail as closed for repair and says other trail areas remain open. The park is listed at 14326 South County Road 39.
